It all starts with a conversation about you, your lifestyle and the goals you want to achieve and making a plan that works around your current fitness and lifestyle.
When creating a personal training plan it’s not only a list of exercises and foods to eat (or not). It’s learning about what you like and dislike and why.
It’s about the goals you want to achieve in the next month, 3 months and 3 years. Are you trying to get the beach body? Do you want to have more energy? Do you want to be a better role model for your kids? Maybe your health has taken a back seat and you want to get back to feeling better? Whatever you want, let's make it happen.
But you’ve already read it all and it’s hard to tell who’s talking BS. I want to create a personal training plan that fits around your life that is easy to follow and works. I know it works because I’ve done it multiple times and so have others.
I will help with putting the plan into action in your life. Not sure when or what to eat for breakfast? No time for lunch between Zoom calls? We’ll work together to fix these real life problems.
Once we’ve agreed on a plan we’ll get going and make amendments as we go. A good personal trainer will know when to push, when to back off and when to carry on.
I limit the number of personal training clients so I’m able to give everyone the attention they deserve and maximise their results.
I’ll have regular check-ins to ensure everything is progressing. Remember it’s about progress not perfection. If things need adjusting we’ll do it. The hardest part is getting started and taking the first step.
Let’s get started!
This is normally an informal chat over coffee to discuss your lifestyle, training history, likes/dislikes and reasons for training. The consultation is a crucial part of the process and really ensures the personal is applied to your personal training. This gives me a basis to formulate a training plan for us to discuss.
This will always include a postural, movement, flexibility along with strength and cardio assessments. We'll also take body measurements eg height, weight etc. This will assist with formulating a plan.
The plan will be presented and we'll make amends to work through the session.
We'll ensure the sessions are enjoyable and effective. We're looking for progress not perfection. We're thinking long term not short term.
